Children (Pre-K – 5th Grade)

Fremont First UMC is committed to nurturing and guiding children to seek Jesus, make disciples, and love always. We do this through connecting with children and their families to encourage a lifestyle of discipleship, not just within the church building. Throughout the year, we offer consistent programming and fun events.

SUNDAY SCHOOL

During the school year, Sunday School begins at 10:00 am on the third floor for Pre-K through 5th grade. Our teachers are committed to offering a loving and engaging hour of discipleship that includes music and singing, a Bible lesson, and fun activities.

KIDS MESSAGE

During the 11 AM Contemporary Worship service, kids will have an opportunity to engage with a pastor or volunteer during a special time designed just for kids following the scripture reading. We don’t believe that kids are the future of the church – they are the church now!

WEDNESDAY NIGHT LIVE AT FREMONT FIRST

We believe that God calls us into a deeper and more abundant life every single day. That’s why we grow at Fremont First UMC. Join us on Wednesday nights for more growth opportunities!

5:30 – 6:00  //   Dinner
6:00 – 7:00  //   Kids Programming (PK-5th), Adult Discussion Group (18+)

Kids programming includes: large group time, video, worship through song, fun activities, Bible lesson, and more!

CONFIRMATION (8th Grade and Above)

Confirmation in the United Methodist Church is a public profession of faith, although it is not a sacrament, it is an important marker in our individual faith journeys and growth.  Confirmation is an opportunity to respond to the grace of God available to us, acknowledged in baptism, and to promise to live as a person of faith.

“Confirmation includes three aspects,” This Is Your Baptismal Liturgy summarizes. “

a) God confirms the divine promise to those who were too young to grasp what God was doing in their baptism,

b) they respond by professing their own acceptance of the grace they have received and their own faith in Christ,

c) the Church, as represented by this congregation, confirms the commitments they make.”

We also believe in the importance of service.  There will be service opportunities for the students to take part in to not only better the church, but our community as well.

Confirmation takes place durning the school year on Sundays at 10am culminating in the spring with a confirmation ceremony.
