What to Expect

New to Fremont First UMC?

Welcome!  We’re glad you’re interested in Fremont First UMC. Our prayer is that you have a positive experience, during which you encounter the unconditional love of God. Visiting anywhere for the first time can be a little overwhelming, so we want to make sure you feel as comfortable as possible before you walk through our doors!

FAQs:
What kind of worship do you offer?

Our traditional service starts at 9am and maintains the traditional elements of the Christian faith – hymns, choral performances, and traditional liturgy. The contemporary service begins at 11am, offering a family friendly worship experience with a contemporary praise band and a more casual setting.

What should I wear?

We’re about 99% positive that Jesus doesn’t care about the style of your clothes on Sunday morning, so come as you are! You’ll see jeans and t-shirts, TOMS and sandals, but you’ll also see suits and ties. Wear what makes you most comfortable.

Is there childcare available?

We are pretty sure that God made kids a bit noisy on purpose, and we would love to have them join us for worship!  However, we also provide a nursery if that would make you more comfortable – it’s located just outside the side doors to the sanctuary.  The Nursery is for children, birth – kindergarten.  For elementary-aged children, we have activity bags located in the back corner of the sanctuary.  Feel free to borrow one if you would like!

What’s the deal with parking?

We just installed a brand new parking lot on the south side with lots of room!  You will also find spots along 8th Street and behind the church.
